MIT students take part in a hands-on class building printed circuit boards (PCBs) during MIT's Independent Activities Period (IAP). The class is EC.S03 / 6.S092 - The Art and Science of PCB Design, which according to the course website "teaches the basics of Printed-Circuit-Board (PCB) schematic design, layout engineering, population, and debugging." The end product is a bluetooth speaker. During this class, the students were populating the circuit boards with various components.

One of the last in-class photoshoots I had for MIT before leaving Boston was photographing this small PCB design class for undergrads. It’s always so interesting and fun to take pictures of a really hands-on class.

Thanks to Barbara and Melissa for the assignment. I really miss wandering around the classrooms and labs of MIT.
