Li Bing Feng, a migrant restaurant worker from Gansu Province, rides his bicycle through the streets of Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. Shoot was directed. Haerbin Snow and Ice Festival

Ice and snow sculptures stand in the famous Ice and Snow World in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China. The yearly festival, featuring sculptures of castles and other things made of ice and snow, draws tourists from around the world.

The world famous ice sculptures in Haerbin are quite a site to behold. I was there at the end of the season last year, and many of the sculptures were starting to melt.

From two days spent at Evel Knievel Days in Butte, Montana, USA. The event is weekend-long street party with daredevil stunts, street fairs, motorcycle parades, and plenty of drinking. My image of Spanky Spangler's ill-fated daredevil car jump was awarded in the 2009 Atlanta Photojournalism Contest.

The Badaling section of the Great Wall is one of the most heavily touristed sections of the wall. Close proximity to Beijing and easy transportation to the park make for a quick day trip, even for those on a budget. The crowds are intense, and the surrounding area, dried by desertification and climate change, is not responding well.
