A small edit of my Demolition story was published recently at Gaia-Photos, a new online photojournalism magazine spearheaded by Morten Svenningsen. There's a lot of great work over there from all over the world, and I'm happy to be a part of it.

 I've just been invited to join the wonderful Wonderful Machine agency.  Very excited to be a part of the crew over there as they expand to the international market.  

  An old photo of mine from outside Bhavnagar, Gujurat, India, will be shown in the month-long show "Positive Exposure: The South Asian Experience Through the Camera Eye" at the Joan Hisaoka Healing Arts Gallery at Smith Farm Center in Washington, D.C.  The show opens February 6, 2009, with an opening reception from 6:30p to 8:30p, and runs through the end of the month with a variety of other concurrent performances and discussions at the gallery.  The gallery is located at 1632 U Street, NW, Washington, DC 20009.  

I've just learned that I received an award of excellence for the above photo, of 11-year-old orphan Sun Lu Lu, in the 2008 Visual Culture Awards category for environmental portraits. Three other pictures of mine, below, were recognized in the Founder's Honours section of the contest.
