On the road: en route to NYC

People get on a bus in Kunming, Yunnan, China.
I'll be in New York City for the next week for a full (and getting fuller!) schedule of meetings with editors at a variety of publications and organizations. Please let me know if you would like to meet between Sept. 7 and Sept. 12. I can be reached at (917) 512-3473.

Rachel Hulin wrote some kind words about my picture of the Gobi Desert by night and some work from Montana last year. Her blog, A Photography Blog, is always a great read, and even more so now with renewed activity after the site's redesign. She'd previously featured my work on Shoot! The Blog, when she was at Photoshelter.

Portfolio at Aurora Select
There've been some developments in my photo agency representation recently. Invision Images, my agent in Greece, has partnered with the wonderful Aurora Select for US representation. A portfolio of my work has just appeared on the Aurora Select website here. Also, Wonderful Machine has featured me on their promotional blog here.

On the road: Back to the USA

Rural Montana.
Having just returned from Gansu (the Gobi's dunes, Tibetan Buddhist nuns, a westernized Muslim wedding, and so on), I'm on a plane tomorrow bound for Seattle. I'll be in the Pacific Northwest for a bit, then on to Montana to see family and friends and continue work on my project there, and then to NYC for meetings with editors. Phone number: +1-917-512-3473 and email: [email protected]

On the road: rural Gansu Province

A couple rides along a river outside Jiangning, Jiangsu Province, China.
I'll be traveling to rural Gansu Province, China, for the next week or so. I'll be checking email sporadically, but I can be reached at my Chinese mobile phone: +86-13770324102.

Three photos to be shown at Look3 YourSpace

Three of my photos have been selected for the YourSpace exhibition at Look3, June 11-13, 2009 in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. The above pictures, of fireworks during the Lantern Festival, of people burning hell money on the Winter Solstice, and of a girl watching television in a demolition site, will be shown throughout the festival. Other pictures selected for the projection can be seen in the slideshow below:
