If you're in Shanghai, be sure to pick up a copy of the July issue of That's Shanghai. They've just published a generous edit of my series on China's crowded railways. Big thanks are due to Chad Ingraham, a talented photographer in Shanghai who got me in touch with That's Shanghai, and JFK Miller, photo editor at That's Shanghai who pushed to get 4 pages and a decent fee for the usage. Look for more of my work in That's Shanghai in the coming months, too!

I’ll be in Seattle, Washington, USA, from June 8 to June 15 to visit family and celebrate my sister’s college graduation. Likely, Mexican food and pizza will be on the agenda; restaurants in China do neither well. Best method of contact is email or my US phone number: (917) 512-3473.

On the road: back to South Korea

I will be back in South Korea for a shoot this week. I’ll be in Busan until May 21, and Seoul until May 23rd, though my travel dates are flexible.

New York Times Moment in Time

My contribution to the New York Times Moment in Time project. Migrant workers sleep while waiting for a train at the Shanghai Railway Station in Shanghai, China.
The New York Time's Moment in Time project launched today, and my contribution is one of the few from Asia in the Social Issues category. The project asked people around the globe to capture what was happening around them on May 2, 2010, at 1500 UTC, or 11pm in China. I was in Shanghai at the appointed moment, en route home after a shoot in South Korea, and found a couple of interesting subjects before I boarded a train.
