One of my photos (above) from the Rocky Boy Agency in north-central Montana is
on exhibit in Whitefish, Montana, through the month of May. The show is also a benefit auction for a cool organization called
Youth Image Project. From
the mission statement of YIP, the organization aims "to empower at-risk teenagers by providing photographic training with which they can share their personal vision, expand their skill sets and advance their life opportunities." They do this through year-long digital photography classes using donated equipment and a mentorship program. The opening reception and auction occured May 5, 2011, at
The Walking Man Frame Shop and Gallery at 305 Baker Avenue in Whitefish, MT. The exhibition runs through the end of May.
Wish I could have been at the opening reception, but I'm glad to support the organization. My thanks go out to Jennifer at YIP for organizing the event and to
Chris Jordan for suggesting my work to her.
