Pedal Forward Shoreline participants take part in an e-bike-focused urban cycling class put on by Cascade Bicycle Club at Ridgecrest Elementary School in Shoreline, Washington, USA, on Wed., May 7, 2025. Pedal Forward Shoreline is a program to give free e-bikes to residents in what has been deemed an “overburdened community” determined to have health, social, and environmental inequities at the south end of Shoreline east of I-5. As part of an effort to reduce driving in the city, the program will give out approximately 100 e-bikes to residents in the neighborhood, prioritizing households with incomes at or below 80% of the King County median income.
