In the March 7, 2012 issue of Education Week, you can see a few of my pictures from coverage of the Boston-area education startup iCreateToEducate. The startup has developed a program using stop-motion animation via webcams to help students engage the subjects they're studying. While the initial goal of the project was to increase students' understanding of math and science, the project has expanded internationally and into lesson plans on all subjects. My contribution to the article involved portraits of the startup's founder, Melissa Pickering, at her office, and coverage of a small group of students using the iCreateToEducate system as part of an after school program at Josiah Quincy Upper School in Boston. Thanks to Nicole at Education Week for calling me for the shoots!
